Founded in 2008, Tyfish carved a niche in the emerging mobile app category by introducing its flagship Mobile Jacket. Developed as the first backup and security solution for the non-enterprise mass market later renamed MoJack. The combination of an administrative control panel with a native mobile client app gave consumers the ability to back up their mobile data in the cloud while also controlling some basic security features such as lock/unlock, wipe, and scream via a user browser interface interface.
With expertise in building a complex back-end system which supports the vast majority of smartphone operating systems it became clear that the platform itself could be converted into a powerful integrated development environment (IDE). In 2010, the company introduced services around the newly configured mobile cloud development platform.
Enterprise customers can now create powerful applications that are supported on Blackberry, Android, Palm and the iPhone quicker and less expensively than ever.
